Good catch, we refueled mainly Tornados on this sortie so I was just in Tornado mode I guess and mislabelled the photo...I posted one of the Tornado shots today from the same mission and edited the title of that Phantom pic. I saw some of your pics, were you in the 351st at RAF Mildenhall? Some great shots.
I was with the 100th Bomb Group, I used to help run the museum, I had a friend in the 100th at Mildenhall and he managed to get me a flight. Ive done a night one too. Id really love to do it again now that im into photography properly now. when I took those other shots, I just had a simple camera and used print film. I always love that Boomer's view. Cant wait to see more of your shots. So are you a Boom Operator?
Wow, that is great! I've been to the museum at Thorpe Abbots, and I was very impressed. What an awesome heritage the 100th has, I'm very proud to be a part of it. I'm actually a pilot in the KC-135, once in awhile I get to go in the back and watch if we have extra pilots on board. I don't have a lot of pictures yet since i've only been at the flying thing for about three years, and less than a year with a camera. You're pictures are amazing by the way. If you like, stay in touch (firstname.lastname@example.org) and I will let you know of any opportunities that may come up.
Im glad youve been to the museum, I used to be responsible for all the displays and graphics there, I set up the display that shows the current 100th with the past 100th. Im sure a few things have changed since I was there now. Ill add your email
